This step is optional. Configure your event's fee structure for studios, dancers, and entries.
Free Events
Toggle "Free to Enter" to make the entire event free. When enabled, all fee fields are disabled and studios can register and submit entries at no cost.
Main Fees

The dancer registration fee is charged once per dancer, even across studios. If a dancer trains at more than one studio and each of them registers that dancer for this event, the dancer registration fee is charged only once, to the studio that registers them first. Every other studio still sees the dancer as registered and can enter them, but is not charged the registration fee again. The fee follows the person (matched on surname, date of birth, and ID), so it stays a single charge even if more than one profile exists for the same dancer.
Which event types charge registration fees. In-person and online events both charge registration fees exactly as you set them here. Production and Showcase events never charge a registration fee, so these fields do not apply to them.
Entry Fees by Performance Type
Each performance type you selected in Step 7 appears with a per-dancer entry fee field:

For example, if a Trio entry fee is R50 per dancer, the total fee for one trio entry is 3 × R50 = R150.
Custom Fees
Add other charges beyond the standard structure. Every custom fee is added to the bills it applies to, exactly like the registration and entry fees: on the studio and dancer Fees pages, in online payments, in reminders and on your Payments screen.
- Enter a Fee Name (e.g., "Admin Fee", "Late Fee")
- Enter the Amount (more than 0)
- Select the Charge Type:
- Per studio: once on each studio's bill. Independent dancers do not pay it.
- Per registered dancer: once for each registered dancer, charged with the dancer registration fee. A dancer whose registration fee is covered by another registration is not charged it twice. An independent dancer pays it once they submit an entry.
- Per entry: once for each submitted entry (withdrawn entries still count, drafts do not). On a studio's bill it is a studio charge, not split across dancers.
- Click Add
Custom fees are displayed in a list and can be removed individually. They are not charged on free-to-enter events or productions.
Validation
- No fees can be negative
- All currency amounts use the currency selected in Step 1

Check "I'll configure fees later" to skip. Fees can be set from the Event Dashboard before opening registration.
