Welcome to Kompdesk! Creating an account is free and gives you access to browse events, manage your profile, and register for competitions.
Registration Types Available
On the registration page, choose the card that best describes your role:

Each card shows a description and key features to help you choose the right role.
Step 1: Choose Registration Method
Every registration form offers two sign-up options:
Option A: Google Sign-In (Recommended)
- Click "Continue with Google" at the top of the form
- Account is auto-verified (no email confirmation needed)
- Your name is pre-filled from your Google account
Option B: Email and Password
- Fill out the registration form manually
- Password must be at least 6 characters
- Requires email verification after submission
Step 2: Enter Your Details
The required fields depend on which role you choose:
Studio Owner / Judge:
- Full Name (required)
- Email Address (must be unique)
- Password and Confirm Password (min 6 characters)
- Terms and Conditions checkbox
Dancer (Affiliated or Independent):
- First Name and Surname (required)
- Date of Birth (calendar picker, required)
- ID Type (Passport, National ID, Driver's License, Birth Certificate, or Other)
- ID Number (minimum 6 characters, only last 6 digits stored for privacy)
- Email and Password
- Guardian Name, Email, Phone (shown if under 18)
- Terms and Conditions checkbox
Already have an account? If your email is already registered, the system detects this and lets you enter your password to add a new role to your existing account. No need to re-register.
Step 3: Email Verification (Email Registration Only)
After submitting with email and password, you'll be redirected to a verification page:
- Check your email inbox (and spam folder)
- Click the verification link in the email
- You'll see "Email verified successfully!"
- You're redirected to your portal
Didn't receive the email?
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Contact support if issues persist
Step 4: Complete Additional Setup
For Studio Owners:
After email verification, you'll create your studio profile:
- Studio Name (required)
- Contact Name (pre-filled from your account)
- Studio Email (required, must be unique per studio)
- City and Country (required)
- Phone Number (optional)
Your unique Studio Invite Code is auto-generated. Share this with your dancers so they can link their accounts to your studio.
For Dancers with a Studio:
You'll need your studio's invite code:
- Get the code from your studio owner or teacher
- Enter it during registration
- The system validates and links you to the studio
- You can now view your schedule and results through the dancer portal
Multiple Roles
You can hold multiple roles on a single Kompdesk account:
- A Studio Owner can also register as a Judge
- A Dancer can be affiliated with a studio and also register as a Guardian
- Your login and account remain the same across all roles
To add a new role, go to the registration page while logged in. The form detects your existing account and shows an "Add Role" option instead of a full registration form.
Multiple Studio Affiliations
A dancer can belong to more than one studio. This is common when studios specialise in different styles:
- Register with multiple studios: use each studio's invite code to link your account
- Enter the same event under different studios: each studio can submit entries for you independently
- One registration fee: the registration fee is only charged once, to the first studio that registers the dancer. Additional studios are not charged the registration fee again
- One check-in: you only need to check in once at the venue, regardless of how many studios you're registered under
- Combined portal view: your dancer portal shows entries from all your studios in one place
Your guardian portal will also show all studio affiliations for each managed dancer.
Important Notes
- Platform registration is FREE: no cost to create an account
- Done ONCE: your account works across all competitions
- Does NOT register you for events: you must separately register for each competition you want to enter
- Identity verification: dancer registration collects ID details for matching and guardian access, but only the last 6 digits are stored
