How Are Entry Fees Calculated?

How Kompdesk calculates entry fees for solos, duos, trios, and groups.

Entry fees in Kompdesk are calculated per dancer in each entry, not per entry. This means group entries cost more than solos.

The Formula

Entry Fee = Fee per Dancer x Number of Dancers in the Entry

Examples

Entry TypeDancersFee per DancerTotal Fee
Solo1$25$25
Duo2$25$50
Trio3$25$75
Small Group (6)6$20$120
Large Group (12)12$15$180

Fee-per-dancer rates are set by the organiser and may vary by performance type. Groups often have a lower per-dancer rate than solos.

Your Total Fees

Your studio's total fees include:

  1. Registration fee: a one-time flat fee for registering your studio (if applicable)
  2. Dancer registration fees: per dancer, charged once regardless of how many entries they are in
  3. Entry fees: per dancer per entry (as calculated above)
  4. Custom fees: any additional fees set by the organiser (admin fees, music editing, late fees, etc.)

Where to See Your Fees

  • Fees page in your Studio Portal: shows full breakdown by entry
  • Entry cards: each entry shows its individual fee
  • Dashboard: shows total fees at a glance

Battle Entries

Battle entries are always calculated as 1 dancer regardless of the battle format, since battles are individual matchups.
