If you are performing in multiple entries and notice a scheduling conflict (two entries at overlapping times), here is what to do.
How Conflicts Happen
- The schedule builder tries to avoid conflicts, but with many entries across sections, overlaps can occur
- Dancers in both solo and group entries are most likely to experience conflicts
- Changes to the schedule during the event can create new conflicts
What to Do
- Check the Live Schedule: confirm the conflict still exists (schedules can change)
- Contact the event organiser as soon as possible
- Provide:
- Your name and entry numbers
- Which sections conflict
- Your preferred resolution (e.g., "I'd like my solo moved earlier")
How Organisers Resolve Conflicts
The organiser may:
- Move one of your entries to a different time slot within the same section
- Adjust the section order
- Allow you to perform out of order (with judges notified)
Tips
- Check your schedule as soon as it is published and report conflicts immediately
- The earlier you report, the easier it is for the organiser to adjust
- On event day, speak to the MC or stage manager if you have a last-minute conflict
